This August the Assemblies of God celebrated its 100th anniversary in Springfield, MO. Thousands of people gathered at the JQH arena and over 120 different nations were represented, including several international dignitaries.
Compassion ministries and social justice have long been areas of emphasis for the Assemblies of God. Believers and churches around the world have established schools and orphanages, safe houses for refugees and human trafficking victims, water wells, health centers, feeding programs, crisis pregnancy care facilities, and thousands of churches and outreach centers in the past 100 years.
In one of the morning sessions, I had the honor of being introduced by Dr. Beth Grant, (Co-founder of Project Rescue), and share on the theme “Compassion & Justice”. I spoke about how I founded Touched Romania and the great need for compassion ministries in Europe. If you would like to see the video of my presentiation please go to the following link:
I realized as I was preparing for this event, how many people over the years have invested in my life. I’ve truly been blessed to stand on the shoulders of those that have gone before me. What lies ahead in the next 100 years? I’m not sure, but I’m expecting even greater things!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
